In this role, you will be expected to:

Job description
In this role, you will:
- perform audits relating to a portfolio of companies across a broad spectrum of industries.
- be responsible for the planning, execution and documentation of audit fieldwork.
- follow up on audit findings independently. For senior associates, you shall be expected to lead audit engagements, and guide the junior associates on the engagement team.
Qualifications and experience:
You should:
- have an ACCA qualification or accounting degree which is recognised by the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, or have the Chartered Accountant of Singapore qualification.
- have at least 1 year of relevant audit experience for associate level or minimum of 3 years experience for senior associate level.
- preferably possess knowledge of Caseware audit software.
About the role
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Provide guidance and expertise to professional staff and participate in the conduct of a wide range of assurance services, with a particular focus on complex audits and assistance with regulatory compliance.
- Develop and train team members by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.
- Understand the clients’ industry, key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
- Plan engagement objectives to ensure compliance with professional standards and appropriately address risk. Prepare and review management communications, proposals budgets, and negotiate fees and overruns.
- Review and approve for signing all financial statements, opinions and reports and other deliverable documents for clients.
- Monitor team progress against plan and drive performance as required.

- be a qualified accountant (CA Singapore or other relevant professional accounting qualifications)
- have at least 5 years of relevant audit experience in a professional accounting firm in Singapore
- knowledge of Caseware software would be an added advantage
About our Nexia Singapore PAC Internship Program
it helps you to gain valuable insights into auditing and a wide exposure in accounting sector. You will work closely with a group of dedicated and skilled professional staff, and undergo on-the-job training. In addition, interns who attain a good performance rating may potentially be offered full-time Audit Associate positions upon their graduation. Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for collating and classifying financial information, preparing financial statements and audit documentation, assessing financial performance and position, corresponding with the client, participating in planning engagements and keeping abreast with current legislation
- Recognise legislative filing requirements
- Identify inconsistencies in financial information and supporting schedules
- Identify and understand accounting policies of the entity to be disclosed in the financial statements
- Perform analytical review to understand deviations based on financial position and performance of the entity
- Participate and contribute to identify and resolve issues
- Identify and perform steps, procedures and processes to meet the objective of engagements
- Evaluate the results of work performed against the objectives of the engagement
- Prepare financial statements or required reports in accordance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (“SSAs”), any legislation or agreed-upon-procedures, where applicable
- Prepare accompanying narrative and quantitative information accurately in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (“FRSs”) or relevant accounting standards and policies and legislation
- Identify inconsistencies between narrative and financial statements of an entity

- Understand the scope, terms of reference and objectives of an engagement from an engagement perspective
